The Black Hills! (Day 6)

Leaving Colorado, we made the trek north through Southeast Wyoming and into South Dakota. Southeast Wyoming is now lovingly referred to as the land of no cell coverage. LOL. I'm just thankful we started the GPS before we left, otherwise we may have had to stop and purchase a physical map!

This part of our trip is the longest. We are here for 6 nights. We found an AMAZING KOA campground (I say that because prior to this trip, our KOA experiences have been basic campgrounds)! This KOA is an adventure in and of itself! It has a splash pad area, two pools, hot tubs, a playground, bike/ATV rentals, a wine & coffee shop (OH YEAH!!), an ice cream shop, a small grocery store, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, a rock climbing wall and horseback riding!! It was a lovely surprise booking, to say the least! We will definitely spend at least one day just exploring and enjoying the campgrounds themselves!

We are staying in a cabin that is absolutely adorable. It sleeps 8! We have our room, a bunk room, a loft with two twin beds and a fold out couch along with a mini kitchen (just missing an oven), an outdoor grill and our own firepit! We lucked out and also got the cabin on the end of our row, so we have an open lawn to enjoy as well!

Tomorrow we plan to just hang at the campground and relax a bit. Then it's off on more adventures--the trouble will be narrowing them down to just what we can cover while we're here! I must say, it took me all of less than 2 hours to fall in love with the Black Hills. It is breathtakingly beautiful up here!!

If you ever have the chance, it's definitely worth making the trip up here!
